London: top 3 things to do
1. Ride The London Eye
First up on our list is an iconic attraction! Step off the bus to London and into a capsule on the London Eye. You’ll get a birds-eye view of the capital’s skyline from Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel, so make sure you’ve got your camera. The experience takes about 30 minutes and the closest Tube station is Waterloo.
2. Sit down to afternoon tea
It’s fair to say that afternoon tea in London is a bit of an institution. There are plenty of places to take your tea, but famous hotels like The Dorchester, Claridge’s and The Ritz are understandably the most popular. And for those of you who like to experience the scenery whilst enjoying a finger sandwich (or two), you can even try the likes of Brigit's Bakery afternoon tea bus.
3. Spend a day in Hyde Park
London’s eight Royal Parks are completely free, and there’s nothing quite like them no matter the season. Hyde Park is one of the most popular. Regent’s Park is another must-visit, and has a beautiful open-air theatre.

Explore local attractions
Many of London’s major galleries are free to enter, and the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square is one of the biggest. It’s open daily with regular tours and events, and Charing Cross and Leicester Square Tube stations are both within walking distance.
Oxford Street is London’s official shopping hub. Stretching from Tottenham Court Road at one end, to Marble Arch – and a huge Selfridges – at the other, it lines up hundreds of high street names. For something a little quirkier, try Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill. It’s a treasure trove of handcrafted jewellery, antiques and art, so you’re guaranteed to find a one-off.
If you’ve booked your London coach travel and you’re staying for the evening, you’re in for a treat. For a theatrical night, head straight to the West End and see a musical – Drury Lane in Covent Garden is a good place to start. Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

mega-fun activities
London’s nightlife scene is hard to beat. Places like Ministry of Sound and Koko are always popular choices, but your best bet is to check what’s on in Time Out, which has all the latest club listings. But for those of you who just like to explore and see more of where you're staying, you won't go wrong with seeing London at night. There are a number of bus, bike and taxi tours to pick from. Plus specific tours which allow you to see London like you never have before.
You’ve got a good chance of spotting a celebrity in London wherever you are, but Leicester Square is an especially good bet. It’s home to regular glitzy film premieres, when the red carpet is rolled out and the flashbulbs light up a sea of celebrities. Follow the crowds and have your camera on standby – you never know who you might spot.
